Cracks me Up Mossy

This is relevant enough with the Ryanair Flight landing in derry.
It takes a college degree to fly a plane but only a high school diploma
to fix one: a reassurance for those of us who fly routinely in their jobs.

After every flight, Qantas pilots fill out a form, called a "gripe sheet” which tells
Mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight.

Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor. Here are
some actual maintenance complaints submitted by Qantas' pilots (marked with a P) and the solutions recorded (marked with an S) by maintenance engineers.

By the way, Qantas is the only major airline that has never had an accident.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.

P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.

P: Something loose in cockpit.
S: Something tightened in cockpit.

P: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on back-order.

P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent.
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.

P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.

P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.

P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what they're for.

P: IFF inoperative.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.

P: Suspected crack in windshield.
S: Suspect you're right.

P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.

P: Aircraft handles funny. (I love this one!)
S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right, and be serious.

P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.

P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed.

And the best one for last.

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget
pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget

Being a movie Director I am always looking for new angles and locations to film awe inspiring material. So anyway, we were hungover and got home to waterford, made a quick appearance and then floored it to the comeraghs.

This is me and Bitzi with a massive chunk of ice. Exciting I know!

It has arrived, in all its glory. Ok, it actually sucks. I think I will stay behind the camera from now on.

This is the third release from 3 Wheeled Scooter productions. What's in the pipeline?

We are currently writing a short movie, about 30/40 minutes long. Some more music videos are also planned in the meantime. We will take requests for music videos, so let us know what you'd like to see.

How to Cook Steak Mossy

Monday, March 06, 2006 comments 0 comments links to this post

Following up on a similar post last week, you ladies (or gays) may like to know how to cook steak.

This article apparently explains the best way to cook steak.
It’s rather easy actually. Cooking the steak that is [...]. While most steak aficionados prefer the blast-furnace method of searing meat on a white-hot cast iron pan, I sometimes go with the slow and careful, medium heat method. It’s much kinder to the smoke alarms not to mention your neighbors.

Bebo. It's freakin addictive. Mossy

So I joined this Bebo social networking thing. I really only joined because my ex-joined. I said, "If she can do it, so the hell can I", that's what I said, I shit you not!

Anywho, my profile is here. It's kind of cool becuase you see people on it you usually wouldn't. Your friend list grows pretty fast too. And you can join your old schools and colleges. Go to my profile and watch the flash thing at the bottom.

If you haven't already seen napoleon dynamite (for shame!), get it out, actually buy it. I can guarantee you will not be dissapointed. I dont want to overhype it. It's shit* actually, but watch it!

This statement is not tru, I am just doing my best not to overhype it. It's freaking brilliant, nah nah, it's only ok. It is great tho.

I've said too much.

It's not you, it's me Mossy

Just ask Why Mossy

A quote from a podcast with John Bogle. Very true to a lot of thing I try to do in my job. Everyday I see people do things because that's the way they were told to do it. If you don't ask why you will never become a better knowledge worker.
“It doesn’t require brilliance, it requires curiosity… looking at things and saying why is that? Why did that happen? Is there a better way to do it? That kind of approach to life.”
