My New Car Mossy

Monday, September 20, 2004 comments 0 comments links to this post

I recently got a new car. Never got around to blogging about it because I never got a good photo of it. I still dont have a good photo of it, but I have a photo of it. So here it is my 96 5 Door Honda Civic 1.4i.

Ok. So its only the back of it. Taken by Blackie, while behind me after we got lost on the way to the South Court (Graduation Ball), but we found it eventually after a 20 minute detour. Donna recently got me some fluffy dice for it too, which doubles the cars' value.

This is me and Donna at my Graduation Ball. For those of you who think I am a girl, I am the one on the right. Incase you think I look crazy with that smile. My face has been stuck in that pose for 3 years now. It's not my fault. The freezer went off by accident.

http://www.tolkienlibrary.com/. Nice design, but I know the content will interest some of my friends more than standard CSS design.

My friend Lucy won't write in her blog. How sad is that?

What a loser. I didn't think it was possible but feigning interest has lost even more interest. Ha!

SmartFTP, better than the Rest Mossy

Friday, September 03, 2004 comments 0 comments links to this post

This is SmartFTP. I have been using CuteFTP for years. Recently it has given me a load of shit about connecing datasockets. If it was a solid object, it would be out my window, broken on the cold hard ground. But its not, so instead it's in my recycle bin (not as exciting).

So I googled "Free FTP Client". I am now using SmartFTP and will continue to use it forever. Because it's like CuteFTP but better. I might even consider paying $30 to license it.

There are a few issues im having with it, but I think there just me and I need to fiddle with settings a bit more. I can't seem to send up more than 1 file at a time. I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Get To Your Local Music Store September 17th Mossy

Buy The Frames' new album. If you have not heard of The Frames, cop the fuck on, get some sense it ya boy. Buy Dance the devil and realise you have missed a decade (give or take) of quality music from the finest band Ireland has to offer.

On the left is Glen Hansard, the leading man in the frames. This photo (No props, if you know the owner of this photo, mail me) pretty much sums up Glen. He's is a pure entertainer, he tells little stories while tuning or building up an intro (not unlike Christy Moore). He feels the music he makes and this comes through in every perfomance I have seen (quite a few). His voice has the strengths from super low to the super high).

The Frames is one of a few bands where I actually go out and buy their music (David Kitt also). That is because I actually care about the Irish music industry and it need as much support as we can give. Ireland is too small to take our artists for granted. Otherwise we will lose them to another country or worse, they break up and we lose them altogether.

Buy "Burn The Maps" by The Frames.

Mozilla.org Redesign Mossy

A really clean redesign by the best software people on Earth. In my opinion anyway. Why? You Might ask...

I'll tell you why.
  1. Open Source
  2. The Best Free Software Around (Thunderbird and Firefox esp.)
  3. Actually following standard unlike IE (Microsoft)
  4. They Rock
You Shouldn't need any more reasons to get Firefox and ditch shittIE. Incase that doesn't convince you:
  1. Tabbed Browsing
  2. Popup Blocking
  3. Virus Blocking
  4. Excellent Extensions (Bookmarks Synchroniser & Developer)
  5. And More
