Was speaking with luke over the weekend about the next big thing, and told me face recognition would be the new way to make some easy money from all the MacBooks with iSights. I wasn’t convinced, but as always google are right on that path too.
Object Recognition is the future of google.
Maybe the whole face recognition in advertising and more importantly personalised advertising will be next for google. I can see it now, “22,000 faces looked at your billboard on 5th Avenue, 45% smiled, 30% frowned, and the rest gave no reaction. You owe us $10,987″. It’ll be like minority report but with google branding.
