There's this guy named barry doing compsys. He's in 4th year now. That was me 2 years ago. There are only 24 Compsys doing 4th year this year. FUCK! We had about 140. This just shows that the Irish IT Economy is completly bolloxed for the next few years.
FYP computers have been allocated. Sort of. I got mine anyway. It's ok. No sharing this year. Of the 100 or so students that started with me, there's 24 left.
Hey school leavers. Get this into your thick sheepish heads! THERE ARE JOBS IN I.T. Fucking loads.

The Irish Times reports on a new study which will show that
fewer than 1 percent of top Leaving Cert students are choosing
to study IT at third level. The research from Dr. Sean McDonagh
of the government's Expert Skills Group, which looks at the
study choices of students who score more than 450 points in the
Leaving Cert, shows an increasing number of students opting for
courses such as teaching and general arts. The figures show a
steep drop in the number of top students choosing IT, down from
more than 5 percent in 2000 to less than 1 percent now.
