Brain Chip Reads Mans Thoughts Conor

How scary is this?

This guy in America, Matthew Nagle, 25, was left paralysed from the neck down and confined to a wheelchair. However, now he can now control everyday objects by thought alone. The brain chip reads his mind and sends the thoughts to a computer to decipher. All he has to do is think, for example; "Turn off the TV", and the TV turns off. It only depends on which devices and the software are linked together.

Mr Nagle has also been able to use thought to move a prosthetic hand and robotic arm to grab sweets from one person's hand and place them into another.

Obviously it is extreamly good for people who are paralysed, but what if (maybe I'm jumping the gun a bit here) it is going to be used to find out what people are thinking and use that information against them? For example here

I think this will be mental (pardon the pun). Think about it (oops, another pun).

It will make the term, use your head much more applicable.

Let say you can control a computer with your brain. No need for keyboards or mice, just plug in your knee to the usb slot and interface to your hearts content. At least it will get rid of the annoying typing heard in every office in the world.
